33rd Annual Bill Eisenwinter HOTSHOT Tournament

Join us for the 33rd annual Bill Eisenwinter HOTSHOT Tournament on Mother's Day weekend in beautiful Coeur d'Alene, ID, Spokane Valley, and the surrounding areas.

Hosted by the Sting Soccer Club, the HOTSHOT Tournament is a friendly and competitive event open to boys and girls teams from U8 to U19. We welcome participants from Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon, Utah, and Canada.

HOTSHOT 2025 will take place May 9th-11th.

Tournament Details:

Divisions - U13 – U19: Gold and Silver divisions (dependent on participation)
Awards - Medals for 1st and 2nd place teams
Games - All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.
Scores - All scores are posted online.
This tournament is unrestricted. We accept US Club or USYS.

Tournament Fees:

U8 ($450 5v5)
U9/U10 ($700 7v7)
U11/U12 ($725 9v9)
U13-U19 ($800 11v11)

Field Rules

Pets/animals are not permitted at any of the field sites.
No items, including raffle tickets, flyers, posting, and advertising, may be sold or distributed at tournament headquarters, playing fields, or surrounding areas for the duration of the tournament unless specifically sanctioned by the Tournament Committee.
The tournament will allow parking for campers and motorhomes from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. However, overnight camping is not allowed, per our usage permits.
Parking outside the designated tournament parking areas is prohibited.
Plantes Ferry has a limited number of campers who are allowed to rent overnight. If interested, please get in touch with Us.

The campground includes full (WSE) hookups and pull-through spaces on request. Livestock stalling is also available in corrals or stalls. Questions on livestock stalling can be directed to the KC Fairgrounds at 208-765-4969. There is no WIFI at the RV Park. The RV park entrance is 482 E. Dalton Ave. between Government Way and 4th Street. No frills, close to soccer fields.

Team Check-In

Online Credentials Check-In MANDATORY

The 33rd Bill Eisenwinter HOTSHOT Tournament team credentials check-in will be online this year. We will not have a team check-in before the tournament. The teams will still need a player check-in 30 minutes before their match at the fields.

ALL TEAMS MUST COMPLETE MANDATORY ONLINE CHECK-IN

Every team’s online credential check-in must be completed by April 29, 2024

Team Credentials include a complete team roster entered into GotSport and players' cards uploaded into GotSport.

Your team has two rosters. A team roster and a 33rd Bill Eisenwinter HOTSHOT Tournament roster. Players listed on the team roster are not eligible for the 33rd Bill Eisenwinter HOTSHOT Tournament. Only players listed on the 33rd Bill Eisenwinter HOTSHOT Tournament roster are eligible. There are a number of tournaments each year, so be careful to select the correct one. Click here for instructions on how to complete your roster.
Don’t forget to add coaches and jersey numbers to your 33rd Bill Eisenwinter HOTSHOT Tournament roster.
IMPORTANT! If there is even a remote chance a player will be playing in the tournament, add them to the roster. You do not want a player to show up to play and not be eligible because they were not put on the roster.
DO NOT EMAIL ROSTERS. OFFICIAL ROSTERS ARE CREATED IN GOTSPORT. WE CANNOT ACCEPT EMAILED ROSTERS.
ROSTER UPDATES (If applicable):
- IF there are changes to your roster after the credential’s deadline, teams MUST notify the 33rd Bill Eisenwinter HOTSHOT via email at: [email protected]. After confirmation of your initial check-in, your roster is locked, and you will need to contact [email protected] to update your roster.
- THERE ARE NO ROSTER CHANGES ALLOWED AFTER THE ROSTER FREEZE DATE: MAY 6, 2024.

Step 2: Upload an Image of your USYS or U.S. Club player passes

Please upload your player passes. The pdf from GotSport is the easiest way to upload them. If you do not have access to this, please submit a photo by laying out your player passes in the order they appear on your roster in rows of 2 or 3. Take a picture of the passes or save a PDF file of your passes and upload them into your GotSport application. Please confirm that the image is clear and large enough to read all of the information on the cards. Click here for upload instructions.
The image/upload of the player passes does not make the players eligible. Only players listed on the 33RD Bill Eisenwinter HOTSHOT Tournament ROSTER are eligible.
All player passes must match your roster. If a player is not on the roster, do not include their pass.
All passes must be from the same association. We accept passes from USYS and US Club Soccer, but they cannot be mixed.

Bring all player passes with you to the tournament.

Step 3: If you will be using guest players, upload an image of your guest player passes with their guest player permission form.

Guest player forms come from the player’s home association and require the signature of their current coach. Guest player passes must be uploaded, and they must bring the pass with them.

IMPORTANT: GUEST PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED TO THE SAME ASSOCIATION AS THE TEAM. YOU MAY NOT MIX US CLUB, AND USYS REGISTERED PLAYERS. ALL PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED TO THE SAME ASSOCIATION.

Bill Eisenwinter

The Bill Eisenwinter Memorial HOTSHOT Tournament is named after Bill Eisenwinter, former director of the Sting Soccer Club. Bill was tragically killed in a car accident on Memorial weekend in 2003 while on his way to the state cup tournament held in Pocatello, Idaho. Bill was a coach, a mentor, but most of all, a friend.

Bill’s tireless work has established the foundation of the Sting Soccer Club. His involvement in the game has also made him synonymous with soccer across North Idaho. He coached at Coeur d’Alene High School and Lake City High School before establishing the men’s and women’s programs at NIC.

His passing triggered an avalanche of emotion that rushed not only through the soccer community and college but also through anyone he had come in contact with. It was a fitting tribute to a life well lived. "Bill was passionate for the game, but he was passionate for enjoying life. He attracted people who wanted to be a part of that."

If you are near tournament headquarters at Canfield Middle School, please take a moment to walk over and observe the granite bench that overlooks field #4, or as it is known as “Eisenwinter Field.” The bench honors Bill’s dedication and commitment to the youth of North Idaho.
