Mark has been with the club since 2021 and became the Girls Academy Director of Coaching in 2023. Mark has a USSF A license and has a unique background at every level of the game. Mark was an NCAA Divisions I Women’s coach for 19 years as an assistant (Air Force, Iowa, Tulsa), associate head coach (TCU), and a successful head coach (Montana).
As a head coach, Mark’s teams won 3 Big Sky Championships, 1 Big Sky Tournament Championship, went to the NCAA tournament, and he was named Coach of The Year in the Big Sky Conference in 2014. The championships were the first for Montana in a decade. At the youth level, Mark has coached in various clubs across the US ( Montana, Colorado, Iowa, Oklahoma, Texas, Idaho) wining seven state cup championships. He was the Director of Coaching for the Electric City Soccer Club (now Montana Rush) in Great Falls, MT. While in Great Falls, he also was the head coach for the first ever boys soccer team at Great Falls High School where they finished third in the state in only their second year of existence.
At the ODP level, he has been a member of the girls’ regional ODP Staff in Region IV, Region II, and Region III, as well as the state ODP staff in Montana, Oklahoma, Texas, and Idaho. Mark was a Major in the US Air Force, where he also played on the All Air Force Team. He also played for the Colorado Springs Ascent of the USL, where he was the first player/coach for the franchise.
Mark graduated from the University of Kansas with a BS in Computer Science and an MS in Sports Administration from Western Kentucky. He lives in Post Falls with his Alaskan Malamute, Kaiyah.
